Bob F. Owen has been a featured speaker on the Southside Lectures several times. His work has always met with wide acclaim. Brother Owen is originally from Memphis, Tennessee. Bob and Janelle (Boswell) have been married nearly 50 years. They have two children: Scott and Jeni (Mrs. David Roberts), both of whom are faithful Christians.

Brother Owen has been an Educator, served as a City Council member in Temple Terrace, Florida, and is a former President of Florida College. His education features degrees in Communication which he has not only used effectively for himself, but which he has used to train young men to preach the gospel. His main interest has always been preaching, and he has done it wisely and well for many years.

Bob Owen has served congregations in Clearwater, Tampa, and Largo, Florida in years past. He presently devotes all his time to gospel meeting work. He is an excellent pulpit preacher, as is seen by the demand for his services. He is a fine writer, having contributed to several brotherhood periodicals through the years. He and Janelle are members at the University Church of Christ in Tampa.
