Bruce Reeves
Bruce Reeves was born in Blytheville, Arkansas on October 13, 1974, the son of Carl and Carolyn Reeves. He and his wife Rachel were married in 1999 and have one son, Connor. A highly-recruited basketball player, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Hendrix College and a Bachelor of Ministry degree from Harding University.
Brother Reeves has labored with the Highway 65 church of Christ in Conway, Arkansas since 2000. Over the years, he has engaged in numerous gospel meetings and lectureships across the nation and has written in religious journals published by our brethren. He is the combination of a powerful presence and a gentle demeanor. His sermons are always Biblical and practical, thorough and thought-provoking.
Bruce has also been active in apologetics in the public forum. Three of the ten religious discussions in which he has participated have been published: The Reeves-Scheel Debate on the Godhead and Baptismal Formula, The Reeves-Cook Debate on Baptism, and The Reeves-Neubauer Debate on the A.D. 70 Doctrine. His reputation as a skilled debater is as well-known as his determination to treat the opposing viewpoint with kindness and respect.
We are pleased to introduce Bruce Reeves during this 44th edition of The Southside Lectures. Your faith will be built up through his proclamation of these fundamental and vital topics.
